Applying as a team

Now accepting applications for 2010 Spring Trips!

If you are in a group of 15 to 25 and interested in joining a Global Village program, sign up here and take the necessary steps. Please choose the destination from the 'List of Available Hosting Countries' upon your application.

*Please note that some destinations can not accept your team due to the team size. 12 is the minimum size for a team, and the teams will be considered as 'open' team if smaller and must accept individual volunteers after consultation.

Applying as an individual

If you are interested in individually joining an existing team, please sign up here and take the necessary steps. The "List of existing GV Teams" tells you which teams you can join as an individual applicant. Please refer to the remarks read "Opened team for individual participants" in the list.

Join the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project

The 26th annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project (JRCWP 2009) was held in the Mekong River region through November 15-20th, 2009. At the main project site of Chaing Mai, Thailand, Hidetoshi Nakata (former professional soccer player) and Jet Li (action movie star) joined thousands of volunteers from around the world to build 82 houses. * Habitat for Humanity's building vacation to overseas "Global Village Program" is made easier to join than ever. If these special events and teams don't match your plans, also refer to the list of existing GV teams above for available open teams.

Japan Hope Builders 10-1; featuring Globe-Trotter (Chikyu-no-arukikata)

Date: February 23th to March 2nd, 2009 Place: Bangkok, Thailand
Habitat Japan, travel agency "STA Travel" and "Chikyu-no-arukikata / Globe-Trotter" travel guidebooks together are sending Japan Hope Builders team to Bangkok, Thailand. During the 8 days of stay, the volunteers will visit the local schools for cultural exchange and have city tours along with building houses side by side with the locals to eliminate poverty housing in Thailand.

March 9th to 16th, 2009 Place: Bangkok, Thailand

Global Build in India/World Habitat Day Event

Date: September 28th to October 7th, 2008
Place: Delhi, India

More than 70 volunteers from the US, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Korea etc will gather in Delhi to help build homes in hopes of eliminating poverty housing in India.
The project features the 14 homes, the starting point for all 1.8 million houses in the country with 60% of them are makeshift or falling apart.
