第9回ハビ人集会開催 / The 9th meeting of Travelers with a Purpose
＜Disaster Response! Burma/Myanmar & China＞Mother Earth seems to be throwing us lots of curve balls this month with several severe natural disasters. People around the world need our help. If you would like to contribute to aid efforts for victims of Cyclone Nargis in Burma/Myanmar, please join Habitat Japan in our effort to gather donations in Japan to join in this recovery effort. We will be focusing our support on housing the over 1 million left homeless by this disaster. More information will be posted soon about the recent earthquake in China and Habitat Japan’s efforts to assist those left homeless as a result.

1. TRAVEL to THAILAND in August. "Japan Hope Builders" team!
Join the Japan Hope Build in Thailand from August 27～September 3.

Join the Global India Build in New Delhi from September 28, 2008 -October 6, 2008.
Volunteers from countries all over the world will come together in India to build 100 houses in 1 week. Joint them! Learn more about the build and register for the trip, click here!3. Travel to WAJIMA, JAPAN for a Weekend.
Lend a hand here in Japan. Help repair traditional historic homes (“Dozos”) that were damaged in the 2007 Noto Honto earthquake. Habitat volunteers (UT-Habitat: Tokyo University students) led the team to Wajima during this Golden Week. Join a mix of Japanese and foreign volunteers for a weekend on the Honto Peninsula spent repairing families homes, while restoring valuable cultural resources and learning about Japanese culture. ＜参加者募集！！＞1.「一般募集チーム"Japan Hope Builders"（タイ・バンコク）」8月27日～9月3日（10日間）、一般募集型のチーム"Japan Hope Builders"がタイ（バンコク）にて建築活動を行います。詳細は、後日ハビタットのHPでお知らせします。
2. 「グローバル・ビルド in India」2008年9月28日～10月6日の10日間、様々な国からボランティアがニューデリー（インド）に集まり、100軒の家を一斉に建築します！詳細、お申し込みはコチラ！
3. 「輪島で週末ボランティア！」
日本国内でも、住宅や建築物の修繕は必要とされています。2007年に起きた能登半島大震災では、多くの土蔵や住宅が倒壊しました。このGWには、東京大学にてハビタットの活動に取り組んでいるUT-Habitatがボランティアを募り、輪島で土蔵の修繕活動を行ってきました。
日本人・外国人ボランティアが集まり、日本の伝統文化などを学びながら日本の伝統的な建築である「土蔵」の修繕を行っています。UT-Habitatの活動報告・次回のプロジェクト日程を近日中にハビタット・ジャパンのHPにて紹介する予定です！他の日程で海外建築ボランティア参加を検討中の方は、「受入国リスト」をご覧ください。
